Another true story of legendary drivers and I Will Drive Livery Service located in New Milford, CT. One of our longtime clients is a very successful entrepreneur from Danbury, CT. He owns businesses across the US and recently moved to Frankfurt in hopes of expanding his business in Germany.

One afternoon, with no explanation for his outbound trip, his assistant called our legendary drivers and booked a return trip to Newark Airport in New Jersey. The businessman has been a loyal customer for decades, so not knowing how he got to the airport and only needing a return trip, I decided to pick him up myself.
As is the procedure of our legendary chauffeurs, we tracked his incoming flight, and I was at Newark Airport in time to greet him as he exited customs. I watched him from a distance, exiting customs over people's heads, and waited until he reached the end of the corridor before stepping in front of other drivers holding signs and Arms were waving. Passengers were waiting. He looked at me, smiled, and then hung his head, shaking it back and forth a few times. To say the least, after all these years of knowing him, it was not normal. While I was starting to feel uneasy, I was glad I came to pick her up, and now I hope to mend my relationship during the 2 hour drive back to Connecticut.
We weren't long in the car when I asked her, "So, what's wrong". He quickly reassured me that nothing was wrong and that he was just embarrassed. "What are you ashamed of?" I asked. "Oh, you don't know, my office didn't tell you?" he replied. While I still had no idea what had happened, I felt more relaxed. He admitted that he tried to save a few bucks, and instead of using our limousine service, one of his employees drove him to JFK Airport for his international flight. When they arrived at JFK, an airline porter was on hand to help them with their luggage and tickets. When the porter ask where he was going, he reply, Frankfurt.The porter quickly looked at his ticket and said, "Sir, the flight from JFK to Frankfurt does not go to Munich. The flight to Frankfurt leaves in an hour from Newark and you will never make it. Save a penny." In the effort.” Now he had to buy a last-minute, one-way, first-class ticket with an additional transfer from Munich to Frankfurt. This effort to "save a buck" cost him just over $3000. Ouch!!!
